Accessibility
On June 13, 2005, the government passed the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005. The goal of the act is to make Ontario accessible by 2025. To achieve this Ontario is in the process of developing standards for accessibility in the following areas:
- Customer service
- Employment
- Information and communications
- Public transportation
- Built environment (buildings and other structures)
As the standards are developed, WDDS will post the policies below with opportunities for feedback.
