Plan Today for Tomorrow’s Future – “Planned Giving”

What is “Planned Giving” and how does it differ from the existing fundraising initiatives that WDDS organizes?  Well…”Planned Giving” is a way for people, even of modest means, to leave significant amounts of money to charities of their choice.  There are a number of ways that this can be done.

1.)    Naming WDDS as a beneficiary in an existing insurance policy
2.)    Providing a bequest for WDDS in your will (it can be a specific amount or as a percentage of an estate)
3.)    Purchasing bonds today and gifting them to WDDS in the future

These bequests help make dreams come true and make our agency more secure for the future.  The extra dollars we receive go towards funding special projects like purchasing specialized equipment, wheelchair vans and even building barrier free homes.  A planned gift to WDDS will have a major impact on the future lives of the people supported by this agency.

“Planned Giving” is a personal decision and must be made with care and consideration.  If you would like more information please contact John Bedell, Executive Director at 519-539-7447 ext 224 or email jbedell@wdds.ca or drop by the main office at 212 Bysham Park Drive.  Please take the time to plan today for tomorrow’s future.
