Supported Independent Living (S.I.L.)

SILSIL supports are an option for people who have the skills to live independently in the community, and may only require assistance on an intermittent or as requested basis.  Supports may include skills training, budgeting, home management, food selection, meal preparation, and community awareness.

The amount of support required is determined mutually between the support worker and the person and is reviewed regularly to ensure it is appropriate and meeting the needs of the person.
